Women's soccer fights hard against a good Menlo team.

This past Saturday the Women's Soccer team (2-4, 0-2) dropped their contest with conference affiliate Menlo in a close match.

"I thought we fought hard for 90 minutes against Menlo," stated head coach Alan Berrios.

Though it may not have shown on the scoreboard Coach Berrios was impressed with the improvement his team has made week to week.

"We are simply looking to improve from game to game and I believe we did just that. We corrected many of the mistakes committed in prior games but we still have a long way to go. Having said this, Menlo worked hard as well and were the better team."

Menlo (5-1-4) played a strong defensive game holding the Firestorm to 1 shot on goal while the Oaks had 8.

ACU will be in competition, next on Thursday, October 1 when they head to Santa Clarita to take on Master's College.
