GLENDALE, Ariz. - Nine members of the ACU women's soccer program were named Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Scholar-Athletes in an official release from the conference office earlier this week.

The GSAC has awarded 58 women's soccer players from across the conference Scholar-Athlete Honors.  To qualify, for this award an athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically and obtain at least a 3.5 GPA or greater. 

ACU's Veronica Cruz, Annalise Esparza, Jessica Farmer, Natalie Goeth, Elizabeth Mulanda, Elena Nicolia, Hanna Perez, Lesly Perez, and Jackie Poortinga all qualified for the prestigious academic honor.

This is the second time that Cruz, Nicolia, and L. Perez were named Scholar-Athletes, as all three also earned the academic honor a season ago.
