Firestorm dominated both ends of the pitch from start to finish

Mercado's first goal came just 5 minutes into the game

ACU would then rattle off 9 shots in the next 10 minutes

Providence had 2 SOG in the entire first half and both were collected by Sanchez

Mercado's second unassisted goal came at 35:20

Firestorm ended the half up by 2

Providence would come out of halftime a bit more competitive, getting a SOG in the first 2 minutes

Cruz would answer back with a shot of her own, however she was able to find the back of the net to put the Firestorm up 3-0.  

Mercado would complete the hat trick at 55:26 with an assist from Castro

Sanchez would lock down the clean sheet with a few more saves

Women's soccer returns home for one final match before the start of conference play.  They host Benedicine-Mesa on ACU Football Field Tuesday, September 13th, kickoff at 7 PM.  The Redhawks are 1-2-1 following a 5-0 loss to Hope International.
