Glendale, Ariz.- Deondra Bacchus and Vittoria Quadri both won in singles and paired together in doubles to earn a win as Arizona Christian came up short against NCAA Division II Western New Mexico on Thursday afternoon.

"We knew this would be a tough test today, but overall, I was pleased with our performance, especially being early in the season.  Deondra and Vittoria did a great job at the top today, that was possibly the best doubles I have ever seen them play and they carried that into singles.  Hopefully we got a lot of the nerves out of the way today, I know the girls are really excited to get back out there tomorrow and build on today."
