Mid-America Christian possesses a 2-0 lead in their all-times series with ACU, the most recent meeting coming in October 2020. In the two matches, MACU has outscored the Lady Firestorm 8-1, including a 4-0 shutout in the last game which was held in Oklahoma City.

ACU defeated Oklahoma City 3-2 in their only meeting back in the 2021 season. Hosted by the Stars in Oklahoma City, the Lady Firestorm trailed 2-1 before Irene Ledezma and Rachel Clark punched in two late goals to earn the win.

Coach Gina Cormier's Thoughts
"We are excited about testing ourselves against two competitive teams on this road trip," Coach Cormier said. "We would like to carry strong momentum into conference play."

Mid-America Christian
The Mid-America Christian Evangels (6-0) have outscored their opponents 24-3 and averaged nearly 23 shots per game through the first portion of their 2023 season. Three players for MACU have at least four goals on the year, and Gladis Avalos leads the way with five along with one assist. Their undefeated record to this point follows a season where they went 6-10-2 and opened 1-7. Anthony Yousey has the reins of the program for a third year, having guided the Evangels to a fifth NCCAA Central Region Championship in 2021.

Oklahoma City University
The Oklahoma City University Stars (3-1-1) lost their opening game against Missouri Baptist in a 3-0 shutout before rattling off three wins and a tie in response. The Stars have been on an extended break from action, as their last competition came on Labor Day against Ottawa (KS).  Their offense has exploded for 12 goals in the past four matches. Gisselle Estrada and Abby Russell each have three goals to their name, while Russell leads the way in assists with three. Billy Martin continues his long partnership with OCU, as he was an assistant coach for 19 years before taking over as head coach of both soccer teams in 2020.
