Surprise, Ariz.- Playing for the second time in as many matches at the Surprise Tennis Center, the sickness depleted Firestorm came up short against NCAA Division II Biola on Wednesday.

• The Eagles won the first completed doubles matches with identical 6-2 wins to collect the point
• But Karla Grobbelaar and Madeline Monroy earned the win on two with a 6-2 victory of their own
• With the start of singles, Emma Troyer was up 3-2 in the first set on court six when her opponent was forced to retire tying the match at 1-1
• On courts five, four, and two, Biola won in straight sets to clinch the team match
• After winning her first set 6-4 on court three, Vittoria Quadri dropped the next two sets including a super tie break third
• Court one was decided by the slimmest of margins as Deondra Bacchus lost her first set 7-5 before countered with a 7-5 win of her own
• The final set was decided in super tie break fashion and saw Bacchus come up just short 12-10
