Golden Eagles Blank Sandy Birds

Irvine, Calif. - The Lady Firestorm faced their second straight NCAA Division II opponent in Concordia University Irvine on Saturday morning, and were shut out 5-0 at OC Great Park. Coach Burwick's alma mater proved stingy, as the Golden Eagles won all five matches in straight sets.

The number one duo Misty McCall/Mia Scheepens took their first set the deepest of any Firestorm pair, reaching the 18-point mark. Eliana Cho/Railey Dykstra were a part of the most competitive match in the three pairing, falling 21-17, 21-17 and not easily conceding the fifth and final point to CUI.
