Glendale, Ariz.- Arizona Christian University is pleased to announce the hiring of Ryan Wrublik as the inaugural Head Coach for Men's Beach Volleyball, launching a new program set to begin competition in Fall 2026. Wrublik brings more than twelve years of program-building, leadership, and technical coaching experience, including six years at Arizona State University and the University of North Alabama.
Coach Wrublik comments, "I am honored to join the Firestorm family. I want to thank Peter Dryer and the entire athletic staff for entrusting me with this great opportunity. I am eager to get this new program off the ground and use it as a vehicle to further ACU's mission of educating and equipping its students with the truth of the Gospel."
Wrublik has an extensive record of developing athletes, designing high-performance training systems, and building successful volleyball programs from the ground up. Most recently, he served 2 seasons as Assistant Beach Volleyball Coach at the University of North Alabama. Prior to UNA, Wrublik spent over a decade with Club One Volleyball in Chandler, Arizona, where he served as Beach Volleyball Director. He held full responsibility for program leadership, technical curriculum, staffing, coach development, operations, and long-term strategic planning—establishing a high standard of excellence and building all systems, structures, and training models for the program.
Wrublik also served four seasons as an Assistant Coach for Beach Volleyball at Arizona State University, contributing to training design, recruiting operations, fundraising efforts, and team logistics. Additionally, he served 3 years heading Hamilton High School Girls Beach Volleyball program, earning 2023 Premier Region Coach of the Year honors.
"We are thrilled to welcome Coach Wrublik as the founding leader of our men's beach volleyball program," said Dr. Pete Dryer, Athletics Director. "His experience in building programs, developing student-athletes, and shaping culture aligns perfectly with ACU's mission and the vision for this new team."
Beyond collegiate and club coaching, Wrublik served as Sports Director at Heritage Church in Madison, Alabama, where he oversaw a faith-centered multi-sport program for young athletes. Wrublik holds a BSE in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Arizona State University (Cum Laude) and maintains multiple professional and technical certifications, including Beach GMS, Beach CAP 1 & 2 certifications.
Wrublik is an Arizona native who is moving back to his home state with his wife Kara and 3 children. Wrublik will begin his role immediately as ACU moves forward with the development and launch of Men's Beach Volleyball.
