Monroy Earns NAIA All-American Status

Glendale, Ariz.- On Friday, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2025 NAIA Women's Tennis All-America teams.  Madeline Monroy was listed as a Third Team All-American.

Monroy, hailing from Litchfield Park, AZ, won 80% of her completed singles matches with a record of 8-2- all at number one.  She won at a 75% rate playing doubles producing a record of 9-3 with nine matches coming at one in the lineup.

Head Coach Phil Carlisle commented, "We're extremely proud of Maddie for earning All-American honors this year.  We had a tough year with injuries and illnesses really affecting our lineup, but Maddie was our anchor in the lineup all year going 8-2 at singles and 9-3 at doubles.  Overall, she had an historic season winning the fall ITA singles tournament, being named GSAC player of the year while going undefeated in conference play, and earning maybe the highest individual ranking in program history.  Being named an All-American cements this as one of the best seasons in program history and we are thrilled for her to receive this recognition!"

Congratulations on the All-American honors!
