th out of 221 runners to lead the men's cross country team at The Master's Invitational over the weekend.
Finishing as the #2 runner was senior
Trevin Janssen (27:49.9). Freshman
Josue Gudina, running in just his second 8k was the team #3 and ran almost five minutes faster than he had two weeks before in Prescott, AZ. Sophomore
Braxton Pingleton and Freshman
Wayne Shuman were final point scorers for the Firestorm men.
Thoughts from Coach Fahsholz
"I am happy for Peter and Josue, and how well they ran today. Historically, without huge amounts of improvement, we run anywhere from 2 minutes to 3 minutes faster at sea level than we do at 5,000 feet in Prescott. And so, for Josue to improve by five minutes means he really improved. Even though the team struggled today, Josue and Peter both were able to demonstrate what their teammates will do on a better day."
