Los Angeles, CA- The men's swimming team traveled west to compete in the Pacific Coast Swimming & Diving Championships which were held at the East LA Indoor pool.  Competition featured both NAIA and NCAA competition which brought out the best from the Firestorm swimmers who notched 14 new school records, and many more new personals bests.
 
Isaiah Porritt (100 Breaststroke) and CJ Trettel (400 IM) were individual program record setters and also contributed to the five different relay records set.  Balazs Bansagi set a program record in the 200 freestyle as a part of the relay team with a split of 1:41.8.

Porritt has qualified for the NAIA National Championships in 50 and 100 yard freestyle races as well as the 100 breaststroke.  The team will look two qualify more at a last chance meet later this evening.

"The PCSC conference meet was our biggest success ever; fourteen new team records, we scored over 200 points more than any other year (with less athletes) and we battled very close with two NCAA D2 teams! Coach Rob & Coach Nate played a significant part in boosting our team to higher levels. Also, the team unity and support for each other was amazing! It was our highest impact for representing ACU and Christ!"
