Surprise, Ariz.- Arizona Christian (3-5, 3-2 GSAC) secured a program-first shutout on Tuesday evening, blanking OUAZ (1-9, 0-6 GSAC) 27-0 on the road in Surprise.
The Firestorm defense delivered a commanding performance, holding the Spirit to just 71 yards of total offense while forcing multiple turnovers.
On the offensive side,
CC Maccagnano led the way through the air with 164 passing yards and two touchdowns.
Genesis Morales paced the receiving corps with 68 yards, while
Aleena Tobar and
Mikayla Navarro each hauled in touchdown receptions.
Seylah Childress powered the ground game with two rushing touchdowns to round out the scoring.
Defensively,
Alana D'Alessio stood out with five flag pulls and an interception.
Shana Hunton added three tackles and a sack, while
Shea Gonzalez also recorded an interception in the shutout effort.
The Firestorm will play on their home turf for the final time this season on Thursday when they host Benedictine Mesa at 6:00 pm.
