Glendale, Ariz.- On Monday, the Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC) announced the Players of the Week and Arizona Christian's Gracie Madeya was selected GSAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week, presented by Athletic Solutions.
Madeya, a Peoria, AZ native, went 2-1 last week against the College of Idaho and Stanton University. On Wednesday against the College of Idaho, Madeya played alongside
Savannah Salvin in #2 doubles action and defeated COI's Nicole Tran and Hristina Ljuba, 7-5. In #3 singles action, Madeya defeated COI's Berkley Klarich in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, 6-1.
On Friday against Stanton University, Madeya played alongside Savannah Salvin and they got defeated by COI's Romy Pols and Emilse Ruiz, 2-6. In #2 singles action, Madeya's match against COI's Paula Rodriguez Velayos went unfinished.
The ACU sophomore improved her record to 3-7 in singles action and she is 6-5 when paired up with Savannah Salvin.
