Glendale, AZ- Head Coach Brent Fahsholz and the Arizona Christian University Cross Country team have just released their schedule for the 2026 campaign. The schedule is highlighted by two meets in Arizona, including the teams annual home meet at Sahuaro Ranch Park in Glendale.  The season will culminate with the GSAC Championships being hosted by The Master's University at Central Park in Santa Clarita, CA and the NAIA Championships being held at Fort Vancouver in Vancouver, WA.

Says Head Coach Brent Fahsholz

"We are really happy with how the schedule turned out. Due to a combination of conference realignment, Covid-19 and construction work, it has been difficult for us to establish a schedule we can repeat year by year.  This season's schedule will be our first in a while where we can say we ran at each of the courses in the previous season which is really helpful for tracking year over year progress in a sport where every course is different from each other."

Season Kicks Off In Arizona

The season kicks off with back to back weekends of racing in Arizona.  First, the team will travel north to Prescott, AZ at the Embry-Riddle Invitational on Saturday September 12th.  This will be followed by the Firestorm Classic at Sahuaro Ranch Park on Friday September 19th.

From there, the team will set its sights on the biggest races of the season starting on October 3rd at the Masters University XC Invitational in Santa Clarita, CA.  Not only will they face all of their familiar conference foes, but they will also be previewing the course they will race at the GSAC XC Championships on November 6th. 

The final tune up for GSAC will be at UC-Riverside on Saturday October 17th where they will compete in The Highlander Classic.  Here they will face not merely conference opponents, but opponents all across the D1, D2, D3, and NAIA spectrum.  "The two races leading up to GSAC are designed to prepare our runners for GSAC, but also the NAIA National meet should we have runners lucky enough to attend," Coach Fahsholz said.

While familiarity will be the theme of this season's schedule, there will be a new GSAC opponent added to the mix in Nevada State University.  Says Coach Fahsholz, "It is great to see the GSAC grow, and also to grow with competitors who will make everyone better.  From the AD to their choice of head coach, you have to believe Nevada State will become a top notch XC|TF program and we are excited to start competing with them."
