ACU Struggles On The Road Vs The Master’s

Santa Clarita, Calif. – Arizona Christian continued GSAC play, falling 6-0 to The Master's University in a challenging road matchup. Despite the result, the Firestorm created several scoring opportunities in the opening half and remained determined throughout the contest.

  • ACU came out looking to establish an offensive presence, recording six shots in the first half, including three on goal. 
  • The Firestorm also earned three corner kicks before halftime, creating opportunities to put pressure on the Mustangs' defense.
  • The Master's opened the scoring in the 16th minute before adding goals in the 24th and 27th minutes to take a 3-0 lead into halftime. 
  • Despite the early deficit, ACU continued to battle, with its defense and goalkeeping unit combining for four first-half saves.
  • The Mustangs led the Firestorm at halftime, 3-0. 
  • The Mustangs extended their advantage shortly after halftime on an own goal in the 47th minute. 
  • ACU continued working defensively throughout the second half, recording three additional saves before The Master's added two late goals to secure the 6-0 victory.
