2022-23 (SO)- Named First Team PCSC All-Academic Team… Raced in seven meets… Established a personal best time in the 100 Breast (58.23) against Grand Canyon and OUAZ

2021-22 (FR)- Appeared in nine meets… Helped the Firestorm set a new school record in the 400 free relay at the NAIA National Championships…  Set four school records at the PCSC Championships- 50 Back (24.64), 200 IM (1:57.36), 200 Medley Relay, and 800 Free Relay… Also set school records in 50 Breast, 100 Back, and 200 Fly

Woodhill College- Swam at Woodhill College in South Africa… Received the Victor Ludorum award for being the most successful swimmer all four years… Team Captain for final year… Favorite moment was qualifying for the South African Senior Nationals.

Personal- Parents- Buks and Alayne van der Lingen… Sister- Kristen… Favorite Bible Verse- Joshua 1:9… Chose ACU because of the strong Christian school base, the swim team having the faith and values needed to motivate and grow with each other, and achieving a great education… Enjoys gaming… Plans to own his own business… Major is business administration.
