2023 (SO)- Appeared in six meets… Competed in the 1500, 3000, and 5000 meter, 3000-meter steeplechase, and 4x800 relay… Career-bests in the 1500- 4:22.35 at the Cody McBride 2023, 3000-9:41.18 at the Gaucho Indoor, 5000- 16:21.70 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, and 3000-meter steeplechase- 10:26.75 at the GSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships (finished 9th)

2022 (FR)- Appeared in seven meets… Competed in the 1500, 3000, 5000, and 10,000 meters… Career-best 10,000 meters (35:41.20) at the GSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships (finished 11th)

Also at ACU- Member of cross country team

Anna High School- Three year varsity athlete for head coaches Scott O’Connor and Matthew Ellis… Also competed in cross country (three years varsity/ regional qualifier) and baseball (two years varsity)... Favorite cross country highlight was passing 30 people in regional and placing ten spots higher than predicted… Most Valuable Cross Country Runner and two-time Cross Country Pack Pride Award

Personal- Parents- Bryon and Elizabeth Wetzel… Siblings- Zackary and Leyton… Favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 15:10… Chose ACU because they offered him the chance to run in college and had a degree plan that he could go through to start his career… Plans to be a physical therapist… Major is biology
