Biography
2018 (SO)- At the Team 4 Titus & Ely meet set his season best in the 100 meter (11.14)... At the GSAC championship set a season best in long jump (21’0.75”)... Helped set a new school record in the 4x100 (41.84) at the APU Twilight meet
2017 (FR)- Participated in the 60 meter (7.05), 200 meter (22.8), and long jump (20’11.75”) in indoor … Earned double All-GSAC honors in outdoor by placing second in the 100 meter and third in the 200 meter race at the GSAC Championships… Ran the 100m (best- 10.88), 200m (22.11), and help set school record in the 4x100 (42.46)… Posted 21’11” as best long jump mark
Niles New Tech Entrepreneurial Academy- Four year varsity athlete for coaches Tony Todd and Antwon Jones… Helped the Vikings win conference and regional championships… Named First Team All-Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference twice, First Team All-League three times, MVP three times, and Team Captain… Advanced to a state meet six times… Vikings were ranked ninth in Michigan… Posted best times of 6.80 (60 meters), 10.75 (100 meters), 22.60 (200 meters), and 22’3” (long jump)… Also played three years of varsity football… First Team All-Conference and First Team All-League… Graduated Cum Laude
Personal- Parents- Joseph and Kim Avance (both work in education)… Sister- Krystal… Favorite Bible Verses- Psalms 34:8 and Philippians 4:13… Chose ACU because of location and opportunity to further education and strengthen faith… Likes to chill, hang with friends, and play with his Husky named Batman… Wants to become a physician… Major is pre-med.
