Kyle was born and raised here in Phoenix and attended Shadow Mountain High School where he was a multiple sport varsity athlete.  Baseball was his passion until he was injured during his freshman year and could no longer pitch.  Kyle later took to running and in 2011, competed in his first of many marathons (including Boston and at the 2013 NAIA National Championships).  His proudest athletic achievement was getting to be a part of ACU's very first cross country team in 2011 and transforming from a very mediocre group of runners to conference runner-ups in just three seasons.
