Courtney Nash

Courtney Nash enters her first season as Head Caoch of the ACU women's soccer prgram after being hired to the position in May, 2021.  Nash, who served as ACU’s Assistant AD of Game Operations since 2019, enters her new position with over a decade of coaching experience.

During her time as Assistant AD of Game Operations, Nash oversaw all operations for varsity home events including ticketing and gate, concessions, promotions, staffing, event management, and broadcasts.  She was an integral part of developing a business relationship with HomeTown ticketing and also oversaw the development and implementation of the Firestorm Athletics App.

Prior to joining ACU in 2019, Nash spent eight years as Head Coach of the Montreat College women’s soccer program from 2010 to 2017.  Under her guidance, the Cavaliers won their first Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) title during the 2012 season after going 14-5-3 overall and 7-1-1 in conference.  That same year, she was also named AAC Coach of the Year.

Before her coaching stint at Montreat, Nash took a full-time position as the Director of Youth Development and the Girls Academy with the Chicago Fire Juniors - Michigan in 2005, a direct affiliate of the MLS Chicago Fire.  While coaching for the CFJ-Michigan club, she led her teams to the State Cup Quarter Finals, Super Y-League National Finals in 2008 and 2009, as well as winning her Premier divisions on numerous occasions.

In addition to coaching at the youth level, Nash was also the Assistant Coach for Davenport University in 2009-10, helping to lead the Panthers to their most successful season ever, taking third place in the WHAC and making postseason play for the first time in program history.  During that same time, she also served as the Head Coach for the Mona Shores Varsity Girls Program where she led the team to an overall record of 12-5-1, good for second place in the conference.

As a student-athlete, Nash attended Saginaw Valley State University from 1997-2000 where she was a four-year starter and served as team captain for three years before earning a degree in sports and fitness management.  After college, she played semi-professionally within the USL W-League for seven years, the highest level of women's soccer prior to the start of WPS in 2009.  Nash played with and against some of the best female players in the world as she made stops with the Asheville Splash and the West Michigan Firewomen.

Nash resides in the Greater-Phoenix area with family and is an active member of her home church.
