CALDWELL, ID – The Arizona Christian Firestorm men's basketball team fell on Friday night during day one of the Taco Bell Shootout, to the hosts; the College of Idaho by a final of 77-70.

With the loss, the Firestorm fall to 1-1 overall, while the College of Idaho improves to 3-0 overall.

In the first half, the Firestorm stuck close with the host Coyotes, and even took a 38-33 lead into halftime. ACU shot 38% from the floor compared to 40% for College of Idaho. In the first half, the Firestorm had their largest lead of the night at 12 points.

The College of Idaho came out strong in the second half and outshot ACU 46% to 28% from the floor; on their way to outscoring the Firestorm 44-32.

Arizona Christian was led in scoring by Sharif Watson, who tallied 25 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field.

The Firestorm will finish off play in the Taco Bell Shootout hosted by the College of Idaho on Saturday, when they take on Eastern Oregon at 5pm.
