Box Score Firestorm play 2 games in three days.
The Men's Soccer team squared off against two conference opponents last week.
On Thursday the Firestorm headed to Santa Clarita to take on the #18 ranked Master's College. From the start the momentum belonged to the Mustangs.
"We had a disappointing performance against a tough Master's team," started head coach Alan Berrios. "Any time you get scored on 35 seconds into the match it's mentally devastating and we never recovered from that mental break down."
Master's went on to score 3 more goals in the first half before eventually finishing the game with a 6-0 final score.
"Master's dominated the game and punished us for our mistakes and lack of intensity."
Coach Berrios was confident that his team would "bounce back from this performance and work harder than ever" in their next game which took place at Westmont College on Saturday. The Firestorm did just that but were not enough to overcome the Warriors who prevailed 1-0.
ACU (2-5-1, 1-3) take on San Diego Christian on Saturday, October 10th at 5:30 P.M. at the Rose Mofford Soccer Complex here in Phoenix.
