Henderson, NV- After playing to a 78-78 tie through regulation, Montana State-Northern outscored Arizona Christian 13-6 in the overtime session to hand the Firestorm their first loss of the season- a 91-84 result.  Seniors Jackson Helms and Brandon Newman scored 14 points for the Firestorm.

Senior Mike Navar scored the first basket of the game and last basket of the half.  In between the two Navar baskets was action that resulted in the Firestorm (5-1) leading 43-39 at the break.

But the Lights (7-0) answered with a 39-35 second half to force the overtime session.

At the end of the day, three point shooting appeared to the difference in the game.  MSUN made 17 of 41 three point attempts.  ACU only attempted 17 three pointers- making just five of them.

Junior Chris Sterling chipped in 12 points.  Senior Sharif Watson added 10 points on 4-7 shooting from the field.

On Wednesday, the Firestorm return to the friendly confines of Fultz Memorial Gym to host their closest geographic opponent of the season- Benedictine University- Mesa.  The teams will tip-off at 7:30 pm.
