PHOENIX, AZ– The 11th ranked Arizona Christian Firestorm men's basketball team defeated The Masters College Mustangs on Saturday afternoon by a final of 77-65 inside of Fultz Memorial Gymnasium on the campus of Arizona Christian University.

With the victory, the Firestorm improve to 22-7 overall and 11-4 in GSAC play. With the loss, The Masters College Mustangs fall to 9-16 overall and 4-10 in GSAC play.

The first half was controlled by The Master's College Mustangs, as they outscored Arizona Christian 40-33 heading into halftime. The Mustangs shot 48% (14-for-29) from the floor in the first half and shot 40% (6-for-15) from beyond the three-point arc. The Masters College went 6-for-9 from the free-throw line in the first half as well. Arizona Christian shot just 39% (11-for-28) in the first half and struggled beyond the three-point arc, shooting 38% (5-for-13). The Firestorm shot 60% (6-for-10) from the free-throw line in the first half.

In the second half, the Firestorm picked up their defensive intensity and shot better from the field. ACU shot 48% (17-for-35) and 40% (2-for-5) from beyond the three-point arc. The Firestorm also shot 80% (8-for-10) from the free-throw line. The Mustangs struggled in the second half, shooting 35% (10-for-28) from the field and 20% (3-for-15) from beyond the three point arc. The Masters College only attempted two free-throws in the second half, making both of them.

In the victory, the Firestorm had six players finish in double-figures; with Bobby Gray's 17 points leading the way. Gray had a double-double with his 11 rebounds and he also registered four assists and had two steals in the game.

Prior to the game, the Firestorm recognized Charles King; who is the lone senior on this year's squad. King has spent the last few seasons here at ACU and will play at least one postseason game inside of Fultz Memorial Gymnasium.

The Firestorm men close out the regular season this Tuesday in Rocklin, California at William Jessup University. The game is scheduled to begin at 8:30pm Arizona time, with the women preceding the men's game at 6:30pm.
