Box Score

Phoenix, AZ- Arizona Christian Women's Basketball opened their season on Thursday night with a 78-56 win over Johnson & Wales (CO).  Five Firestorm ended up in double figures led by Freshman Toni Davis who dropped in 17 points while also pulling down nine rebounds- both game highs.

The Wildcats (0-4) scored the first five points and built out to 10-4 advantage in the first three plus minutes of the game.

JWU responded with an 18-7 streak of their own and grabbed a 28-27 lead with 6:17 left in the second quarter.

Half number two belonged to the Firestorm.  Senior Courtney Leach made two free throws four minutes into the third quarter and Arizona Christian enjoyed a double digit lead until the final whistle.

Behind Davis, who scored 11 of her 17 points in the second half, Sophomore Courtney Christmas notched 16 points and 8 rebounds.  Enders (14), Willingham (13), and Leach (12) joined in on the double digit fun.
