Box Score Phoenix, AZ- Serving played a huge part of Saturday's match between Arizona Christian and Menlo. The Oaks used their serving as their biggest weapon beating the Firestorm 3-1 (25-19, 25-19, 22-25, 25-20). Junior Jackie Stein produced 11 kills, 14 digs, and two service aces.
The opening set saw a few lead changes and ties early on before Senior Toria Siemens gave ACU a 4-3 edge that extended out to 13-8. However, Menlo's Sierra Buscher (35 serve attempts in the match) rattled off 12 straight serves including four service aces to turn the set in favor of the Oaks.
Siemens hit .600 while delivering three kills.

Set three was back and forth throughout to the tune of 14 ties and eight lead changes. A Menlo service error gave ACU the lead at 18-17 and they held on for the set win from there.
Four kills from Stein and three kills by Senior Debbie White (on six attacks without an error) was the offensive spark for Arizona Christian.
