Phoenix, AZ- For the first time in the Odell Berry era as the head coach of ACU Women's Basketball, the Firestorm eclipsed the 100 point mark with a 104-52 win over Bethesda on Tuesday night.  Junior Makayla Enders led the way with 27 points and eight rebounds.

Just 11 seconds in the game, Sophomore Toni Davis scored on a jumper (the first of 64 points to be scored in the paint by ACU).  The Flames (0-11) answered with two points in the paint for a 2-2 tie.  On the next trip down the floor, Senior Suzie Castro-Larsen grabbed two straight offensive rebounds before converting her own basket in the paint.

Enders scored before Bethesda made the score 6-4.  But the Firestorm (5-1) used a 13-0 run to take complete control of the game.  

At the quarter, Arizona Christian found themselves ahead 24-9.  By the half, ACU built a 43-16 cushion.  Enders was the only player in double digits with 14 points after 20 minutes.

In the third quarter, the Firestorm exploded for 37 points before adding 24 more points in the fourth.

With 2:23 remaining in the contest, Sophomore Natasha Venecia converted a pair of free throws.  The second made free throw allowed the ACU women to see the century mark for the first time since November 2012- the season prior to Coach Berry taking over the coaching duties.

Freshmen Elah Alvis and Alyssa Deutsch finished off the scoring.

Junior Courtney Christmas ended with 19 points.  Davis wrapped up her evening with 12 points.  Castro-Larsen reached double digits with 10 points.  Junior Jac Moody was good for eight point and seven rebounds.

ACU shot 70.6% from the field in the second half as they produced an overall 62.1% shooting night.

The Firestorm will have over a week off before returning to the hardwood in Fultz Memorial Gym when they host Saint Katherine (CA) on Friday (December 8) at 7:00 pm.
