Firestorm Hold Stake To Fourth

Prescott, AZ- On Monday and Tuesday, Arizona Christian Women's Golf held stake to fourth place at the Embry-Riddle Spring Invitational on the grounds of the Antelope Valley South Golf Course.  Senior Sarah Kaye moved up a spot after her second round effort to claim fifth.

As a team, the Firestorm shot a 325 in round one and 337 in the second round to finish at 662.  They placed fourth after both days of action.  All teams were chasing the host team Embry-Riddle who claimed first by nine strokes.

Kaye was even more consistent than the team as she knocked out double rounds of three over 75.  She moved from sixth to fifth by one stroke when play concluded.

Junior Alysha Danache claimed a share of 12th place with scores of 75 and 79. 

Separated by just two strokes, Junior Sylvia Renfroe and Freshman Rina Labianca claimed 30th and 31st place with totals of 177 and 179 respectively.

Senior Amber Rayls was the fifth ACU golfer on the course and produced a 195 total.

The Firestorm will come home to host Wartburg College on Thursday at the Moon Valley Country Club.  The teams are scheduled for a 1:30 pm tee time.
