Thoughts from Coach Rutter
"ASU has impressive length and athleticism. It caused us to stand around and were unable to play our game offensively in the first half. I was pleased with our response in the second half. We settled down a bit and were much more aggressive and played a pretty good half (46 points). It was a great game for us to see where we are at. Dealing with their size and athleticism, our transition defense and defensive rebounding needed to be flawless. We tell our guys, the higher the level of play, the greater the consequence when you aren't fundamentally sound, and ASU capitalized quickly on our errors. It's a great game to learn from."
