Box Score Irvine, CA- Arizona Christian Men's Soccer is the 2018 GSAC Tournament Champion. A 3-2 win for the third seeded Firestorm over top seeded Vanguard gave ACU Men's Soccer their first tournament championship in program history. Junior Alex Segura scored two goals including the game winner.
After the Lions scored 12 minutes into the championship match, the scored remained 1-0 VU through the break.
Nine minutes into the second half, Sophomore Miguel Vasquez took a feed from Junior Damian Sanchez, spun with the ball at the top of the box and finished his goal into the upper right corner. Four minutes later, Segura took a through ball from Junior Tatsuma Yuki and found the net. In the 73rd minute, Senior Anthony Archuleta to Yuki to Segura connected three straight passes across the top of the box and Segura scored the game winner into the right side of the net.
The Lions scored with five seconds left to create the final 3-2 score.
