Irvine, CA- Arizona Christian Men's Soccer is the 2018 GSAC Tournament Champion.  A 3-2 win for the third seeded Firestorm over top seeded Vanguard gave ACU Men's Soccer their first tournament championship in program history.  Junior Alex Segura scored two goals including the game winner.

After the Lions scored 12 minutes into the championship match, the scored remained 1-0 VU through the break. 

Nine minutes into the second half, Sophomore Miguel Vasquez took a feed from Junior Damian Sanchez, spun with the ball at the top of the box and finished his goal into the upper right corner.  Four minutes later, Segura took a through ball from Junior Tatsuma Yuki and found the net.  In the 73rd minute, Senior Anthony Archuleta to Yuki to Segura connected three straight passes across the top of the box and Segura scored the game winner into the right side of the net.

The Lions scored with five seconds left to create the final 3-2 score.

The Firestorm advance to the opening round of the NAIA National tournament.

Vanguard outshot Arizona Christian 19-16 but the Firestorm held an 8-6 shots on goal edge.

"It is hard to put into words how proud I am of this team.  We just keep coming.  We go down, we don't panic, we just keep playing.  Our spirit is unbelievable.  Tonight we beat a great team in Vanguard to bring our season full circle. To beat a program with that quality to win it is even more special.  All glory to Jesus Christ who gives us this opportunity.  Hopefully we can continue this run, and we are looking forward to the national tourney draw to see what's next."
