Phoenix, AZ- The #13 Firestorm battled tough but lost to #8 San Diego Christian in a match played over two days.

Before a rain delay causing the match to be continued on Sunday, the Firestorm and Hawks were tied 3-3. ACU collected three victories in singles matches before the delay hit. Junior Tia Okano won the number three singles match in a three-set thriller- 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.  Sophomore Elizabeth Kelley won 6-4, 7-5 in the number five spot while Freshman Sydney Smyth won the number six match of singles action- 6-0, 6-1.

When return to action on Sunday, the Firestorm (7-4, 1-2 GSAC) collected one victory over the Hawks (4-3, 3-0 GSAC) in doubles action in the number three doubles match. Okano and Smyth won 8-0.

ACU will host Louisiana State University-Alexandria in a match on Monday. First serve is set for 10:00 am at the Phoenix Tennis Center.
