Phoenix, AZ- The Arizona Christian University Men's Tennis team had a strong showing on Wednesday with a 9-0 sweep over visiting Connecticut College.

The Firestorm (10-3) were able to cruise through doubles action.  Senior Marcelo Balderrama and Senior Santiago Galeffi secured the first victory of the day winning the number three doubles match, 8-4. Junior Daniel Superlano and Junior Scott Wheeler won 8-4 in the number two doubles match before Junior Enzo Douillac and Sophomore Jesse Miritello won the number one doubles match, 8-6.

Junior Alberto Lapiedra, Senior Luka Stanivukovic and Junior Andy Vang along with Superlano, Wheeler, and Balderrama all picked up victories in singles action allowing ACU to win by a final score of 9-0.

The Firestorm will return to the court on March 19 as they hit the road for a match at Whittier College. First serve is set for 2:00 pm.
