Box Score Glendale, AZ- After celebrating their seniors before the game, ACU Football held on at the end of the game to beat Texas College 24-20 on Saturday night. The Firestorm defense came up with interceptions on two of the final three Steer drives to lock up the win.
Four turnovers in all forced by the ACU defense played a big role in the Firestorm win. Senior Jaron Green was a difference maker with seven tackles, two half sacks, and a forced fumble. Freshman Riley Tucker pushed his SAC leading interceptions up to six.
Offensively, Freshman Tyler Duncan topped ACU in passing (197 yards) and rushing (107 yards). Sophomore Greg Tremble hauled in seven catches for 86 yards and a touchdown.
