Batesville, AR- The ACU defensive unit came to play on Saturday and they delivered an exceptional effort in the 9-7 win over Lyon College.  The Firestorm held the Scots to just one yard rushing and forced three turnovers.

Senior Jaron Green led the defensive effort with seven tackles and a sack as he disrupted the Lyon offense all game long.  Senior Tyler Hunt made his presence felt with five tackles and two sacks.  Freshman Riley Tucker recorded his Sooner Athletic Conference leading fifth interception of the season.

Offensively, Freshman Tyler Duncan topped ACU in passing (128 yards) and rushing (96 yards).  Sophomore Aidan Quinn ran for 86 yards and the lone ACU touchdown.

• At half time, the game was tied 0-0 highlighted by ACU allowing Lyon just two first downs in the first quarter
• The ACU defense forced a safety four minutes into the second half
• With under six minutes to play in the third, Deonsaye Dean forced and recovered a fumble at the Lyon 20
• Three plays later, Quinn found the end zone from a yard out
