Box Score Chandler, AZ- In their first 12 minutes at the Cactus Classic ACU Men's Basketball found themselves down ten before flipping the script and taking a 12 point lead in the second half of their 77-73 win over Montana State-Northern on Saturday. Senior Shane Carney topped all scorers with 29 points.

"Proud of the effort tonight! I thought we played really hard defensively and dictated the tempo of the game for the most part. That is hard to do against the well-coached discipline Montana Northern. We have been dealing with some injuries and illness, and I am pleased to see the response to adversity in such a positive way."
"We should gain some confidence in our defense after tonight. That is a good win against a perennial national tournament team on a night we did not shoot very well."

On Monday, the Firestorm will continue to participate in the Cactus Classic hosted at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. ACU will play Lethbridge at 8:00 pm. The game will be played as an exhibition for the Firestorm.
