- The Warriors led 28-25 after the two teams combined to score just 20 points in the ten minutes before the half
- Westmont opened the second half with an 11-0 run to take control
- The Warriors took just one more shot than the Firestorm (64-63) but made 28 versus 16 baskets for ACU

"The average on-looker will see that we lost by 32 points but from my perspective I see a team that is coming together, learning how to compete at the top NAIA level and giving their best effort. We had plenty of good looks on offense during our dismal second half and just couldn't convert. I promise you, if we continue to work hard and stay the course, you're going to see some victories come our way real soon!"
