  • That started a run of four straight possessions (two each team) that resulted in a touchdown (Duncan to Quinn was the second ACU touchdown)
  • Lepe tacked on a field goal before LU mustered an 18 play drive to score a TD and take their first lead just before half time
  • Tucker's interception stopped the string of consecutive scoring drives
  • Quinn claimed back the top score with a 28 yard burst on the ground (his tenth rushing TD of the season)
  • The Lions scored to obtain lead with two minutes left in the third
  • Lepe pushed ACU back ahead with a 29 yard field goal
  • Five minutes after Langston grabbed back the lead, the Duncan-to-Cole connection struck to knot the game at 34-34
  • As time expired in regulation a game winning field goal was missed by the Firestorm
  • Langston had the first crack at overtime and converted a field goal
  • On the Firestorm game winner, Duncan floated a pass just over the defender's shoulder and Cole (looking back into the sun) hauled in the pass

Thoughts from Coach Bowen

"I could not be prouder of our team.  It was one of the best college football games I have ever been involved with and our guys stayed in the fight for four quarters.  All three phases of the game played their tails off.  We talked all week about the ACU Football brotherhood, and it really showed in this amazing overtime victory over Langston, and it keeps us in the hunt for a national playoff spot.  I am so proud of our guys!"
