Glendale, AZ - The Arizona Christian University women's basketball team (5-3, 1-2 GSAC) couldn't hang with #2 Westmont College (7-1, 1-1 GSAC) as they dropped their second GSAC game of the year 81-57­ on Thursday evening at the ACU Events Center.

Game Details:

Westmont would lead from start to finish but the Firestorm kept it close in the first by limiting turnovers as they trailed ­20-14 at the break. The Warriors would then pull away in the second as they outscored the Firestorm 20-10 to take a 40-24 halftime lead. The Firestorm tried to fight back but the Warriors were to much as they extended their lead to 63-49 at the end of the third. It wasn't all bad for the Firestorm though as Kaycee Brown finished with a double double and Alyssa Alvarez led the way with a season high 23 points. Despite that and the Firestorm outscoring the Warriors in the fourth it wasn't enough to mount a comeback as they fell 81-57.
