• LCSC started slow but cut their deficit to just five with two minutes to play in the half
• Hayden, making his first collegiate start, led everyone with nine first half points
• The Warriors nailed a three to creep within six in the opening 12 seconds of half number two
• But two minutes and half minutes into the half Davis converted a layup and ACU would lead by double digits the rest of the night
• With just under a minute to play, Hayden scored to give the Firestorm their largest lead of the night (22 points)

"I really like how hard we played tonight.  The game really did not have much of a flow.  We were pretty bad offensively at times but played well enough defensively to put us in a good position."

"We got out to a good start, LC state tightened up defensively and we did not respond very well.  We did not move the ball like we need to and even seemed to be taking turns trying to score instead of taking what they give us.  While we played hard defensively, we did not execute some of the things we have been working hard on.  We will need to trust each other and be more united on both ends of the floor if we are to improve."

"That said, LC State is a great program and Austin is a great coach.  It is a really good win."
