Glendale, Ariz.- Following a Thanksgiving break away from GSAC action, Arizona Christian Men's Basketball returns to conference play with two home games this weekend.

Arizona Christian

On Friday, the now No. 3 Firestorm (6-1, 1-1 GSAC) mounted a big comeback against then No. 18 Montana Tech for an 84-80 win.  Trent Hudgens poured in 29 points.  Angelo Johnson added 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Trent Hudgens - 15.6 points, shooting 50%

Paul Hayden - 11 points, 1.7 steals

Bryce Davis - 10.7 points, 5.7 rebounds

Angelo Johnson - 10.1 points, 3.4 assists

Mikah Blackwell - 9.4 points, 6.1 rebounds

KeyVaughn Williams- 3.0 assists

 

Series Notes

Versus HIU, ACU is slightly behind in the all-time series as the Royals hold a 13-10 edge.  The Firestorm have won four of the last six meetings with the teams splitting the last four contests.

 

Against the Hawks, the Firestorm are 19-2 all-time and currently riding an 11 game win streak.

 

Hope International

On Saturday, the Royals (4-1, 2-0 GSAC) beat Bethesda 88-62.  Gaven Ramirez scored 16 points off the bench while Sebastian Castro went for 15 points and 10 rebounds.

 

San Diego Christian

The Hawks (1-2, 0-2 GSAC) have not played a countable game since falling to Menlo 73-61 on November 19.  Jonah Felix had 19 points.  Greg Chew added 13 points and 8 rebounds.  SDCC will play at OUAZ on Thursday.
