Thoughts from Coach Ted Krzywiecki:
For our first road trip, I was happy with our approach and growth this weekend. Today was a team highlight reel for us with 7 different players finding the scoresheet. It is a reflection of our identity this year. When we play as a cohesive unit, every guy has the ability to make an impact on the game. If I could pick out one thing I was disappointed in was our defensive sharpness in a few moments. We weren't tight enough to their attackers in moments and gave them space to have clean chances which they capitalized on. We need to maintain high standards on both sides of the ball in all moments and matches. We dropped them a bit from Thursday and we got hurt in a couple moments.
There is a lot to build on as we head into a difficult week against two ranked opponents. We have a quick turnaround with a high quality opponent on Tuesday at ERAU.
Next Match:
Men's soccer continues on their streak of away games on Tuesday, September 13th when they face Embry Riddle (AZ). The Eagles are currently Receiving Votes to be in the national top 25, and have a record of 2-2-1 following a 4-1 loss to Southern Oregon University. Kickoff against Embry Riddle (AZ) will be 7 PM, played on Varsity Field in Prescott, AZ.
Roll Storm!
