COACH MICHAEL BUTTERFIELD'S THOUGHTS

"The Firestorm wrestlers got off to a great start this year in duals by defeating Sierra college, NCAA Division II New Mexico Highlands, and Simpson University," Coach Butterfield said. "I am extremely proud of the grit and passion displayed by our guys today. The dual with Highlands was a high energy and intense dual that ultimately ended with us on the winning end, while our guys represented themselves and their school extremely well. Pins by team leaders Carlo Castagnaro and Kaden Martin ultimately led to the 25-20 dual victory. Tomorrow we carry momentum into the mile high open where we will have 24 different wrestlers competing between 10 weight classes. We are thankful for the amazing young men of faith who represent ACU and our program."
