Firestorm Falter In First Cascade Dual

Costa Mesa, Cali.- Despite strong individual efforts, ACU Wrestling struggled to gain any ground in their first conference duals of the 2023-24 season. In 20 total matches, the Firestorm only managed four wins and could not establish the momentum necessary to keep pace with Vanguard and Menlo. Isaiah Marquez, Kaden Martin, Michael Moreno and Rico Robles each earned individual victories.

COACH MICHAEL BUTTERFIELD'S THOUGHTS
   
"Today the Firestorm wrestlers stepped on the mat against some tough Cascade Conference competition in Vanguard and Menlo," Coach Butterfield said. "While we are proud of the efforts of our guys, we simply can do better than what was represented today. We are committed to the process of being better and calling each other to be better, which will definitely happen in the coming weeks, but today there were some lessons to be learned."
