Chances Missed Against Royals

Glendale, Ariz.- On Saturday, Arizona Christian had lots of chances but could not capitalize as they left a combined 21 runners on base and were swept by Hope International.

  • Miles singled, stole second, and eventually scored on sac fly from Bell in the first
  • HIU added two runs in the third and seventh
  • The Firestorm had base runners in every inning but would not score again

  • The Royals scored single runs in back-to-back innings for a 2-1 edge
  • But Hipolito tied the score at 2-2 in the sixth with her first home run of the season
  • After a scoreless seventh and eighth, the teams exchanged runs in the ninth
  • The Firestorm run came in the form of a single by Miles scoring Hipolito
  • HIU put the pressure on when they scored in the top of the tenth but ACU could not plate the tying run
