A Saturday Split To Cap GSAC First Half

El Cajon, Calif.- On Saturday, Arizona Christian split with San Diego Christian as the Firestorm invoked the mercy rule against the Hawks in game two.  Taylor Schleisman homered in the day cap.  After the games, ACU is now halfway through their GSAC schedule.

  • Brianna Humphries had a game for the Hawks as she homered in her first two at bats to drive in all three SDCC runs
  • After the second home run, Savannah Smith allowed just one base runner the rest of the game
  • Anderson doubled home Covalt to get ACU on the board in the fourth

  • Hipolito doubled leading off the second (Ryann Reese pinch ran), Alto singled, and Anderson was hit by a pitch
  • Covalt singled, Kaitlin Terzakos walked, and Miles single to all drive in at least a run to give ACU a 4-0 lead
  • Lawson wiggled out of a bases loaded one out third without giving up a run
  • In the fourth, Claire Buckley singled, advanced on an error, and scored on an RBI single from Miles
