Glendale, Ariz.- The Golden State Athletic Conference announced the 2023 All-GSAC Women's Tennis Team on Tuesday and Junior Deondra Bacchus was selected all-conference by the coaches.  Bacchus earned her second All-GSAC honor.

Bacchus, from Phoenix, AZ, played all 11 regular season matches at number one singles.  "D" produced a record of 5-6 and 2-2 in GSAC play during the regular season.  She also appeared in 11 regular season matches paired with Vittoria Quadri at number two doubles.  The duo was 8-3 on the year before any post season play.  Their eight wins topped the GSAC in wins at number one doubles.

Head Coach Phil Carlisle commented, "Deondra had an absolutely incredible season. The improvements she made this year were amazing and that was on full display today, losing only one game to a girl that she had to beat in three sets earlier this year.  She has been our rock at number one all year and unquestionably one of the best players in the conference.  I was bummed for Vittoria, she also had a great year and I thought she was deserving of it as well.  But I am really proud of her and Deondra for their doubles success this year and I would expect them to be one of the top returning doubles teams in the country next year."
