Hot Shooting Sends No. 4 Firestorm Past No. 18 Owls

Klamath Falls, Ore.- Facing NAIA number 18 Oregon Tech on their home floor, NAIA number 4 Arizona Christian used hot shooting (63.4% for the game) to earn the victory.  Trent Hudgens led all scorers with 25 points.

  • But Onakpoma went on a personal 5-0 run to give ACU an 11-9 edge
  • The Owls tied the score at 12-12
  • In a four minute span, ACU used a 12-0 run to move in front for good
  • Taevon Pierre-Louis scored the first four points of the run (Jalik Dunkley capped it with a three)
  • Hudgens nailed a free throw to give ACU an 18 point edge (47-29) just before the break
