Great Falls, Mont. - The Lady Firestorm travelled to Salem, OR for the Corban Classic and faced off against a Cascade Collegiate Conference opponent Northwest University.  The Lady Firestorm got off to a fast start and showed off a deep bench which saw thirteen players in total score to ultimately run away from the Eagles and win by thirty-one points, 81-50.
 
Sophomore Shaylyn De Yager came off the bunch and led the team in scoring with 12 points, while a trio of seniors, Alyssa Alvarez, Graciela Roybal and Halle Payne, chipped in ten points apiece. Freshman newcomer Mae Washington put together her best all-around game of the season thus far finishing with a 8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block.
 
Head Coach Rusty Rogers said, "The ladies took care of business against a scrappy Northwest team. Their performance allowed all fifteen players significant minutes and not extend ourselves too much before our first back-to-back game.  Hopefully, we will be well rested for a good Corban squad on Saturday afternoon."
