Phoenix, AZ.- Freshman
Jackson Lee reset his own school record and moved up to #18 nationally in the 200 Butterfly while fellow freshman
Isaiah Porritt missed his own school record in the 100 breaststroke by one tenth of a second to move him up to #27 nationally, and the Firestorm men's swim team will head into the Christmas holiday with confident eyes set on the upcoming championship season.
Â
"Our final 2024 meet against GCU and Ottawa was exciting with a new school record and many new National "B" cuts and best times.
Jackson Lee broke his own school record and
Isaiah Porritt had a stunning 100 breaststroke race. But the biggest victory in my opinion is the unity and the character of our team!  So many good swims but mostly a Christian love, especially demonstrated at the senior awards after the meet!! Roll Storm!!"
Â
The team also received great performances from sophomore
Boaz Hering and senior
Kadin van der Lingen who contributed to both Medley and Freestyle relays.  Herring also finished fifth in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 22.80. Â
