Lady Firestorm Win Dual Match

Scottsdale, Ariz. - Arizona Christian Women's Golf resumed their spring season with a victory over Northwestern College (IA) in a two-team match at Orange Tree Golf Resort. Junior Sophia Higuera was the medalist of the 12 golfers, firing a 36-hole total of 170 and winning by three shots over Northwestern College's Emily Hulshof.

Sarafina Nicholas and Sarah Cordova each finished in the top five (third and fourth respectively), Cordova shooting a season-low 87 in the first round on Monday.

Madelyn Thorsen could not duplicate the magic of a hole-in-one this time around, but was able to shave nine strokes off her opening 96 with a second round score of 87.
